TCU-North Texas Match Suspended Due to Rain, to be rescheduled in Texas

BERKELEY, Calif. – The TCU women’s tennis team’s match with North Texas at the ITA Kickoff Weekend has been indefinitely suspended due to rain.

The match, which began at 10 a.m. PT on Saturday, was suspended with the Mean Green holding a 2-1 lead over the Horned Frogs.

North Texas won the doubles point and each team had claimed a singles point. Three of the four singles matches had begun third sets when officials suspended the match.

TCU and North Texas had planned on continuing the match this morning, but rain in the Berkeley area did not subside Sunday. The match may be resumed at a later date in Texas, but a decision will be made later.

TCU’s next scheduled match is set for 1 p.m., on Feb. 12 at Texas A&M.
